I thought the Liberal, Global Warming crowd was one of peaceful people, who abhorred violence and sought a better world for all mankind: men, women, transgender individuals, and animals, because we all know that” animals are people too,” but I guess I was wrong. This video portrays the violent truth about the movement and how they wish to deal with those who don’t agree. If you disagree with their so called scientific opinion on Global Warming they want to kill you.
Reduce your carbon footprint by 10%, or they will break out the Staple’s Easy button and blast you into oblivion. Apparently no one is safe, even children must die if they do not drink the Global Warming Kool Aid. Your children will be murdered by their teachers, those unionized individuals who are on the frontlines of the Liberal propaganda war.
I wonder if the Global Warmists would point their weapon of mass destruction at Al Gore? Though he is the father of Global Warming propaganda, he also has one of the largest carbon footprints of any private citizen in America. Just ask the masseuse in Portland, apparently he showed her the whole thing.
This video is a prime example of the double standard that the left employs all the time. Had this been an NRA video, where those who stand up against gun ownership were being tied to a clay pigeon throwers and tossed into the air to be blasted out of the sky by card carrying, Charlton Heston loving, shot gun wielding, conservative voting, cigar smoking men, the left would be up in arms. It would be deemed racist, sexist, homophobic, murderous, violent, and generally bad for mass consumption. Bill Maher, Rachel Maddow, Katie Curic, Arianna Huffington, Chris Matthews, etc, etc… the list of names is too long, would be up in arms, figuratively speaking, against such insensitive right-wing, NRA, Tea Bagger schlock. But when the schlock supports a Liberal Leftwing cause, they simply say its funny, have a sense of humor, it’s a joke, and you people on the Right are just too dumb to get it.
The video was produced by an organization called http://www.1010global.org that describes itself as “10:10 is a global campaign to reduce carbon emissions by 10% in a year – starting in 2010. Any person, family, business, school or other organization can cut 10% – and by working together we can make sure our actions count.”
The video was produced and posted, and shortly after according to the website it was removed.
Here is the statement from the organization:
“Today we put up a mini-movie about 10:10 and climate change called ‘No Pressure’.
With climate change becoming increasingly threatening, and decreasingly talked about in the media, we wanted to find a way to bring this critical issue back into the headlines whilst making people laugh. We were therefore delighted when Britain’s leading comedy writer, Richard Curtis – writer of Blackadder, Four Weddings, Notting Hill and many others – agreed to write a short film for the 10:10 campaign. Many people found the resulting film extremely funny, but unfortunately some didn’t and we sincerely apologize to anybody we have offended.
As a result of these concerns we’ve taken it off our website. We won’t be making any attempt to censor or remove other versions currently in circulation on the internet.
We’d like to thank the 50+ film professionals and 40+ actors and extras and who gave their time and equipment to the film for free. We greatly value your contributions and the tremendous enthusiasm and professionalism you brought to the project.
At 10:10 we’re all about trying new and creative ways of getting people to take action on climate change. Unfortunately in this instance we missed the mark. Oh well, we live and learn.”
The good news is they seem to have come to their senses, sort of. They have decided remove the video from their web site, but have decided to leave the viral versions of this video accessible to everyone on the Internet. So where they have admitted they made an error, they have not gone all the way to fix it. It’s kind of like admitting that you stole the money, but you are going to keep it anyway.
The bad news is that they produced this high quality movie, employed numerous actors, writers, editors, production people, and not once during this process did anyone say, wait a minute maybe we should re-think this.
