Obama greater than Jesus

He is provocative in insisting on an outstretched hand, where others only see animosity.

His tangible results in the short time that he has been active – are few and far between. His greatest results have been created with words and speeches – words that remain in the consciousness of their audience and have long-term effects.

He comes from humble beginnings and defends the weak and vulnerable, because he can identify himself with their conditions.

And no we are not thinking of Jesus Christ, whose birthday has just been celebrated – – but rather the President of the United States Barack Hussein Obama.

For some time now, comparisons between the two have been a tool of cynical opinion that quickly became fatigued of the rapture that Obama instilled prior to and after the presidential election last year.

From the start, Obama’s critics have claimed that his supporters have idolised him as a saviour, thus attempting to dismantle the concrete hope that Obama has represented for most Americans.

The idea was naturally that the comparison between Jesus and Obama – which is something that the critics developed themselves – would be comical, blasphemous, or both.

If such a comparison were to be made, it would, of course, inevitably be to Obama’s advantage.

Today, his historic Health Reform is being passed through the American Senate – a welfare policy breakthrough that several of his predecessors have been unable to manage.

Despite all the compromises, it has finally been possible to ensure something so fundamental, as the right of every American not to be financially shipwrecked when their health fails them. Add to that the biggest ever financial support package in America’s history, a major disarmament agreement and the quickest-ever re-establishment of American reputation.

On the other hand, we have Jesus’ miracles that everyone still remembers, but which only benefitted a few. At the same time, we have the wonderful parables about his life and deeds that we know from the New Testament, but which have been interpreted so differently over the past 2000 years that it is impossible to give an unequivocal result of his work.

Obama is, of course, greater than Jesus – if we have to play that absurd Christmas game. But it is probably more meaningful to insist that with today’s domestic triumph, that he has already assured himself a place in the history books – a space he has good chances of expanding considerably in coming years.

Without, however, ever attaining the heavens….

Climategate: it’s all unravelling now

James Delingpole – Telegraph UK

So many new developments: which story do we pick? Maybe best to summarize, instead. After all, it’s not like you’re going to find much of this reported in the MSM.

1. Australia’s Senate rejects Emissions Trading Scheme for a second time.

2. Danes caught fiddling their carbon credits. (Hat tip: Philip Stott) Carbon trading is the Emperor’s New Clothes of international finance.

3. Hats off to The Daily Express – the first British newspaper to make the AGW scam its front page story.

4. BBC finally gets round to reporting – sort of – that Climatic Research Unit at University of East Anglia may have been up to no good. I

5. Legal actions ahoy! Over the next few weeks, one thing we can be absolutely certain of is concerted efforts by the rich, powerful and influential AGW lobby to squash the Climategate story.

6. Watch out Green Dave! The Independent reports on the growing backlash within the party to Cameron’s libtard-wooing greenery.

The Socialist States of America… or worse

“Only Renelique didn’t arrive in time. According to Williams and the Florida Department of Health, she went into labor and delivered a live baby girl.

What Williams and the Health Department say happened next has shocked people on both sides of the abortion debate: One of the clinic’s owners, who has no medical license, cut the infant’s umbilical cord. Williams says the woman placed the baby in a plastic biohazard bag and threw it out…” MORE

This story, while disturbing should not be surprising to us in the current environment of greed, irresponsibility, and lack of accountability. A young girl doesn’t want the responsibility of taking care of the child that she and her partner created, or the bother of carrying the baby to term and placing it up for adoption; so it’s simple… kill it.

Members of Congress do not want to own up to the responsibility of the financial crisis that they created through poor legislation in the housing and lending markets; so it’s simple have the taxpayers’ bail out the financial markets.

Wall Street and big businesses, such as the auto industry and insurance industry have enjoyed being fat and happy for decades, but as soon as their golden parachutes are threatened, and their bonuses are shrinking, they to look to move the yoke of responsibility from their shoulders to the federal government and ultimately to the next few generation of taxpayers.

We now have a President that is pushing a so-called stimulus package on the country that promises more pork than a South Carolina BBQ and more Government control of the private sector than we have ever seen in the short history if the United States of America. What would John Adams and Thomas Jefferson think about the direction we are allowing our elected officials to move us in?

Healthy children murdered, calls to limit the size of families, Government ownership of the Financial sector and the housing markets… it is begin to sound kind of familiar isn’t it?

It is called China.

Biden… The Other White Meat

You have to wonder who’s side Senator Joe “foot in mouth” Biden is on. He shows his support for Obama, and defends his experience by pointing out that the rest of the world, especially the enemies of the state will be lining up to “test the mettle” of this young senator from Illinois.

Biden told donors at a Seattle fund-raiser Sunday night.

“Mark my words.”

“It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America.

“Watch. We’re going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.

“And he’s going to need help . . . to stand with him. Because it’s not going to be apparent initially; it’s not going to be apparent that we’re right.”

It was only a few years ago that Obama stated that he would not seek the Presidency, as he had just reached the Senate and he felt he didn’t have enough experience.  And now his running mate is concurring with this feeling.

Can we afford to put the lives of American citizen’s on the line to “test the mettle” or prove that the Left half of our country is correct? Are we willing to sacrifice the blood of American citizens, and more soldiers to prove a point?

Senator John McCain was tested in Vietnam. We know he is a man of mettle, and so do our enemies, and our allies. Joe Biden has promised that his running mate will be tested with an “international crisis” and that he is so inexperienced “it will be not be apparent that the right decision was made”.

Suppose the “incident” is “international” in scope, but occurs right in your backyard? Suppose the “incident” takes place in a Federal building where a loved one works, a factory that supports a small town, or a religious school where you send your children?

Are you willing to risk this?

Before you cast your vote this November, pause and reflect on the years since the tragedy of September 11. There have been no ‘Incidents” because our enemies know not to test our mettle.

Missouri “Truth Squads” To Protect Obama Campaign

This sounds very Orwellian to me… and all on the public payroll? Does the St. Louis County routinely back a candidate, and support him or her with with taxpayers money? “We want to keep this campaign focused on issues,” Joyce said. “Missourians don’t want to be distracted by these divisive character attacks.”
Will they do the same for the McCain ticket? Wouldn’t that be the fair thing to do, especially when the taxpayers are flipping the bill?
